Description: Scallop Fret Chaturangui - In India 'Chatur' means 4 (four), and 'Ang' means attribute. Chaturangui means a Guitar with additional blend of four tones. This is a 22 stringed first scallop Frey upright Indian Classical Guitar. It blends the tone of Rudra Veena, Sarode, Sitar and Classical Finger picking guitar.

All the guitars of Debashish have designed and played have Front Chikari (Rhythm strings) and are being played by index finger and not with the thumb.

This is the first scallop Frey Classical Guitar made out of solid wood. “The idea developed in my mind from the structure and tone of the classical and jazz soundscape. This has enhanced the depth in tonality and provided a better blend of mid and bass with bright treble. Bending of the notes are effortless and sings better in this new model. I’ve Dedicated to and inspired by John McLaughlin”.

"After Chaturangui I have created and given name Chaturangui in 1978, since then it has received much popularity all around the world, besides many other Indian guitars I have designed and brought to the world I wanted to make another Chaturangui....but here I am where I got to see myself again..."
